A Whole "Latte" Love . . .

Aha! Another play on words...lol. Just a couple of pix of the newest member of our family. Her name is "Latte" which dd came up with, which is the Italian word for milk (...not to be confused with Cafe Latte...) Little Latte is our 14 week old Maltese puppy, and she is just the most adorable, huggable ball of puff! Latte was my Father's Day gift to dh this year. She is so loveable and has the cutest puppy antics...and she has brought much joy into our home.

Happy Fathers Day!

Here's the card made for my dh for Fathers Day. The front of the card reads, "You're still my MANE man..." (Get it? Mane...Main...) Saw a card with this play on words on the SU Gallery a while back and thought it was so clever!
Created this to be what is called a "Peek-A-Boo" card. Found a video tutorial for this on Dawn's Stamping Thoughts and have noticed versions of this card popping up on lots of blogs lately.

Had to change the dimensions of the original card pattern to make the window large enough to accomodate my Cuttlebug Lion. As the card is opened, a new image appears in the window on the inside of the card..."peek-a-boo"! For this card, I had the inside sentiment appear in the window, "NO LION!" Uh, huh, yet another play on words. My Dd pointed out that it was actually a double play on words because the lion "disappears" and there really is "no lion"! Corny but fun...just like my Dh. "Happy Fathers Day, Hunny...we love you!"

Hello Kitty First Birthday Card

Love Hello Kitty! Inspiration for this card came from the Cricut Message board member Jennifer Shering who shared her very cute Hello Kitty cut file on the Design Studio Forum. I ended up having to create my own cut file for this card because my blind eyes and fumbly fingers needed something a bit larger. But Jennifer's file definitely served as the springboard to my creation. Used the George cart to create Hello Kitty and her dress, and the Celebrations cart for the birthday cupcake, cake, balloon and presents. Images chalked for dimension and added stickles and acrylic gems for some bling.
Happy Birthday, baby Taylor! Hope she liked this card as much as I had fun making it!

Dreams Do Come True

Another Disney Princess trifold cut out card created with the help of Design Studio. A card sent to dd when she finally got the "official letter" of acceptance into professional school. I chose Cinderella because she has always been one of dd's favorite Disney princesses. Felt this card was especially appropriate because this was a goal and dream dd has been working so hard and for so long to acheive. Without a doubt, a dream come true for her as well as her proud parents!

Used Cricut Design Studio & Happily Ever After cartridge for all the Cinderella related cuts, welded rectangles from George cart to do frames and welded letters from Jasmine font cart for the word "dream". Images were chalked and used stickles, mini flower crystals from Photocraft, swarvorski crystals & Krylon gold leafing pen for bling. Inside sentiments are rub ons from Deja-Vu and American Craft's Kate MiniMarks. Cuttlebug swirls embossing folder for side panel and flowers are from Prima and All Natural Accents.
