That's What Tiggers Do Best!

"Oooh, Oooh, Oooh, Oooh!" That's what Tigger always says when he's happy! Of course my first cut using my new Pooh and Friends cart just had to be of my favorite Tigger. This fun little tri-fold pop up card was sent to dd when we first got the "unofficial word" from one of the assistant deans at her school that she would be getting her letter of acceptance into professional school. All I can say is, "Oooh, oooh, oooh, oooh!" Dh and I were definitely bouncing with pride and joy!
All cuts for this card except the newspaper come from Pooh and Friends; the newspaper comes from Mickey and Friends.

O Happy Day!

Card made for dd for her graduation from college this past weekend. Love this little graduating chick stamp from Stampendous...and the sentiment inside fits dd perfectly. (If you knew her, you'd understand completely.) Of course dh and I just couldn't be prouder!

Front panel of the card embossed with a cuttlebug folder, scallop frame cut using a qk cooky cutter nesting die and windows cut with a lion circle cutter. Chickie image colored with Aquarells and Dove Blender.

Favors for graduation party guests were created with Design Studio. These boxes were inspired by a box of Godiva Chocolate Raspberries, which I took apart and changed up a bit so dd's favorite St. Germain Palm Leaf cookies would fit inside. Front of box was embossed with Cuttlebug Swirls embossing folder and embellished with a bow & flower from All Natural Accents.

My Hawaiian graduation girl is a rubber stamp from Juju's Tiny Treasures. colored with a combo of Aquarells and Dove Blender, Prisma and Copic pens. Image was then scanned and printed onto photo paper. I tried printing on several kinds of cardstock, but I liked the vibrant true colors and the glossy finish I got from photo paper best. The smooth coating on the photo paper also made it so much easier and quicker to cut the details on all 30 images!
I used Dandelion Designs cute little tiger stamp for the inserts, just perfect since it's the mascot for dd's school.

Lastly, here are some of the leis I made for dd's special day. Used various textures and lengths of eyelash yarn, satin ribbons and rattail cording, crocheted onto a length of satin ribbon. These are fun and actually pretty easy to make, using very basic crochet stitches. They do take some time to make, so luckily I started on this project a year ago in anticipation of this day!

Happy Mothers Day!

A couple of quick little pillow boxes made and decorated just in time for my mom and mil to hold their special Mothers Day gifts. The tutorial for the purty flowers are on Sue Nelson's Heart Prints Gallery and were fun & easy with my new Nestablities scallop & round templates and Cuttlebug swiss dots embossing folder. Used Bazzill Wings giant brads for the flower centers ( I knew I'd use them one day...!) and green flourish is a Sizzix die. Used my trusty ol' Coluzzle template to cut out the pillow box.

Happy Anniversary!

A quick 'n easy card made to celebrate 4 years together for dd and her bf. I was very late in sending this greeting so it couldn't be too fancy, but it did give me a chance to play with my new Nestabilities dies for the first time. Stamped image is a very old one from my Printworks collection, from a time long ago when teddy bears were all the rage! Waltzing Teddies were colored with Aquarels and Dove Blender, front of card embossed with Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder and added a DejaVu rub on sentiment to a transparency to finish.

Happy Boys Day!

Boys Day Card made and sent to dd's bf. Fishies are a Cricut Design Studio cut file that was very generously shared on the Cricut Message board by Amanda K. The cut for these fishies are really amazing, mostly because Amanda created them by tediously welding together many, many little basic shapes...circles squares, rectangles and triangles from the George cartridge. I was in awe when I saw the actual cut file! This talented and generous lady shares many of her wonderful creations on her blog at Cricut Creations. The funny thing is, I think she might be a little surprised if she sees what I did to her fish...cut their mouths a bit wider and added the white to make them into koi nobori for Boys Day. The pole and spinner for the koi nobori, and the welding of the letters (Mickey font cart) were also created in Design Studio. Cute Boy's Day stamped image inside the card comes from Mari 'n Me.
