O Happy Day!

Card made for dd for her graduation from college this past weekend. Love this little graduating chick stamp from Stampendous...and the sentiment inside fits dd perfectly. (If you knew her, you'd understand completely.) Of course dh and I just couldn't be prouder!

Front panel of the card embossed with a cuttlebug folder, scallop frame cut using a qk cooky cutter nesting die and windows cut with a lion circle cutter. Chickie image colored with Aquarells and Dove Blender.

Favors for graduation party guests were created with Design Studio. These boxes were inspired by a box of Godiva Chocolate Raspberries, which I took apart and changed up a bit so dd's favorite St. Germain Palm Leaf cookies would fit inside. Front of box was embossed with Cuttlebug Swirls embossing folder and embellished with a bow & flower from All Natural Accents.

My Hawaiian graduation girl is a rubber stamp from Juju's Tiny Treasures. colored with a combo of Aquarells and Dove Blender, Prisma and Copic pens. Image was then scanned and printed onto photo paper. I tried printing on several kinds of cardstock, but I liked the vibrant true colors and the glossy finish I got from photo paper best. The smooth coating on the photo paper also made it so much easier and quicker to cut the details on all 30 images!
I used Dandelion Designs cute little tiger stamp for the inserts, just perfect since it's the mascot for dd's school.

Lastly, here are some of the leis I made for dd's special day. Used various textures and lengths of eyelash yarn, satin ribbons and rattail cording, crocheted onto a length of satin ribbon. These are fun and actually pretty easy to make, using very basic crochet stitches. They do take some time to make, so luckily I started on this project a year ago in anticipation of this day!
